What if internet never existed?

If internet never existed, then there would be no world wide web (http://technology.inquirer.net/34738/world-wide-web-turns-25-years-old)  and so, there would be no social media but human persons are basically social beings, hence, the internet will be ultimately crafted...

The reality is this, every person needs to communicate from the very beginning of times... in whatever form from solid rocks to perfumed homemade stationeries, from quills to touch screens...

Human need is the mother of invention, hence, the mobile phone generously emerged from the two tin cans connected by a long piece of string to Alexander Grahambell's telephone.

The first successful entry in the net was a series of memorandums about "Galactic Network" concept in 1962 (http://www.internetsociety.org/internet/what-internet/history-internet/brief-history-internet). Indeed, if there is a will, there is a way!

I know that internet will come in time because there is always somebody thinking of modernization. But what if there was no internet? Definitely, there will be a lot of time saved to enjoy fresh, unmediated reality!

But the reality is, internet existed even without me asking for it! Then I found myself opening an e-mail account, then a Facebook account and then a Twitter account. Life becomes an endless accountability.

It's okay. Internet is here. We all have to live that reality. But the real reality is, internet connectivity exists while our life exists. The desire to be forever connected will be totally granted, in heaven for all eternity!

  1. I visited my cousins in Batangas City. All the adults were out for their work. My nephews and nieces were left behind with their grandmother busy in the kitchen and so, surfing the net kept these little kids busy. I pleaded for few minutes to be online... Few minutes I was online... See these children while offline.
